So, what exactly is NLP?

It stands for Neuro Linguistic Programming

The Neuro is the physical parts as well as the emotional parts of our neurology.

The Linguistic is the language that we use and how we communicate with others. More importantly it is how you communicate with yourself.

Programming is the way in which all our past experiences, decisions, emotions and thoughts affect all areas of our life.

So learning NLP is like learning the language of your mind.

We have all tried to communicate with someone who does not understand us well. Take the French waiter.

You muster up your very best schoolboy French and ask for a steak and chips. What you get is frog legs and cabbage. It is this sort of relationship that most of us have with our unconscious mind!

We may think we are ordering wealth, happy relationships, successful career etc but unless that is what is showing up then something is getting lost in the translation.

“The conscious mind is the goal setter, and the unconscious mind is the goal getter.”

Your unconscious mind is not out to get you–rather, it’s out TO GET FOR YOU whatever you want in life. However, if you don’t know how to communicate what you want properly, it
will keep bringing out frog legs and cabbage.

Go ahead right now and think of, if there was one thing you could change, one habit you could break, what would it be?

ASK YOURSELF

Would you remain calm during work presentations? Would you quit procrastinating and spending so much time on Social Media? Would you choose not to devour a tub of ice
cream in one sitting?

Whatever it is, realize that your unconscious mind only does that because it thinks that’s what you want. (“Sir, here is your procrastination along with a side of anxiety. I’ve also told
the valet to bring up your emotional baggage as per your request. Will you be needing anything else?”)
