#3 Avoid competing with others

Don’t be drawn into competition with other families who’ve suddenly learnt Japanese, are baking their own bread, and holding ‘theme nights’. These families do exist, but don’t feel inadequate if you aren’t doing these things.

If you are able to keep communicating with each other, end up mostly being friends, and your children get some reading and Math’s done, then think yourselves, successful parents.
