Supporting children in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire and surrounds

Having lived and worked in Aylesbury for most of my life, I understand the pressures families face locally. Schools work incredibly hard, yet time and resources are limited, and children’s emotional needs can sometimes be overlooked.

Parents often contact me when their child is:

  • Struggling with anxiety or worries
  • Feeling overwhelmed by school or exams
  • Experiencing low confidence or self-esteem
  • Finding it hard to cope with family changes or loss
  • Carrying big emotions they cannot easily explain
Aylesbury Therapy for Kids About Us Supporting Children

These are not problems that can always be resolved within a busy school environment. Children often benefit from dedicated, one-to-one support that focuses on understanding what is happening internally and giving them practical tools they can use every day.

Why I specialise in NLP4Kids

My background in business taught me how to listen carefully, identify patterns, and get to the root of issues quickly and calmly. When I discovered NLP and later NLP4Kids, it offered a structured, solution-focused approach that felt particularly well suited to children and young people.

NLP4Kids sessions are engaging, age-appropriate and empowering. Children are not labelled or judged. Instead, they learn how their thoughts, feelings and behaviours connect, and how to make small but powerful changes that improve how they feel and respond to everyday situations.

This approach is particularly effective for families seeking child-focused emotional support in Aylesbury and Buckinghamshire without long waiting lists or clinical pathways.

How sessions work

All sessions are delivered online via Zoom, allowing children across Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire and surrounding areas to access support from the comfort of their own home.

I work directly with parents and children through one-to-one sessions that are:

  • Calm and supportive
  • Structured but flexible
  • Focused on practical emotional skills
  • Designed to bring clarity and relief early on

Parents often report feeling reassured after the first session because they understand what their child needs and what the next steps look like.

Safety, trust and reassurance for parents

Choosing support for your child is a big decision. I work in line with strong safeguarding standards and hold appropriate professional insurance, safeguarding training, data protection awareness and enhanced DBS clearance.

Your child’s well-being, comfort and sense of safety are always the priority.

Helping children move forward with confidence

Every child deserves the opportunity to feel confident, capable and emotionally secure. With the right guidance, children can learn how to manage their emotions, build healthy self-belief and approach life’s challenges with greater resilience.

If you are based in Aylesbury , Buckinghamshire or surrounds and would like to explore whether NLP4Kids sessions could support your child, you are very welcome to get in touch for an initial conversation.

FAQs

Do the sessions follow a set format?2023-04-18T16:12:15+01:00

No. Every session is tailored to the individual. If something more pressing presents during a session I will drop the session I have planned and address that issue.

How many sessions will my child need?2026-02-25T12:22:31+00:00

A difficult question as every child is different and faces different challenges. I would suggest around 5 sessions is the average for the many people I work with to see a difference and develop some skills to help them.

Do you work with schools and companies?2026-02-20T12:18:18+00:00

Yes, I have worked with lots of schools and companies over the years.
